How to get to Batumi
The major gateway airports to Georgia are the capital Tbilisi (TBS) and the country’s second largest city of Kutaisi (KUT).
The airports are roughly a 4-hour drive away (270km). A third option at Batumi (BUS) situated in the southwest of the country offers limited scheduled flights mainly from Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Access to Batumi:
Kutaisi-Batumi – there is a Georgian bus from the airport (approx. 25 lari) adjusted to the landing hours of planes. The bus stops in Batumi near the Radisson hotel, where you can take a TAXI/UBER/ BOLT (approx. 10-20 GEL), or take a local bus or simply walk.
Tbilisi-Batumi – there are regular buses (METRO Georgia –
https://metrogeorgia.ge; Georgian Bus – https://georgianbus.com and minibuses circulating from Tbilisi to Batumi every hour – travel fee is 20-25 GEL. Train: there are trains from Tbilisi to Batumi every day (night train and day trains) – travel fee is 25 GEL (Georgian Railway – http://www.railway.ge).
